Brisbane is putting on a beaut day so there is no excuse for not coming into the city to sell and get cashed up. I've just had a phone call from a lady who had just been quoted for some gold in a local shopping centre, firstly my price was much higher and I also purchase diamond set jewellery. The other company would not buy her ring or would only give her scrap gold for it and nothing for her diamonds. I did tell her of course that I don't always purchase every ring presented to me, but she is going to come in as see. Nothing ventured nothing gained.
One of our crew, Mike, is recovering from a pretty serious operation last week so I just wish to send him a call to get well soon and get back to work.
Gold is on a sea saw at the moment, but generally speaking the price is reasonably stable. A swing of $100 per ounce up or down does not effect the price all that much when you do the maths.
