Welcome to City Gold

Gold Parties are great! But don't sell your gold for less than it is really worth!

After numerous telephone calls from ladies attending various Gold Parties, actually calling from the party itself, Citigold has decided to remind party goers to be well satisfied that they are receiving a good rate for their gold jewellery, and especially, that they are being paid for the correct type of gold.

Several of the phone calls received were from  ladies at various gold parties and they expressed concern and confusion over offers being made. Firstly that their 18ct and 14ct gold was being appraised as only 9ct gold, and secondly, that the price was not very interesting, in fact quite low.  There is nothing new of course with folk thinking that their gold is worth more, but our advise is to check around first, sometimes the hype of the party takes your mind off the facts.

If you let us know the weight of gold you have, (kitchen scales or the post office is fine for this) the type of gold you have, then we can give you a quote either by email or telephone.

Now determining the type of gold you have is a little more detailed.  Most western made jewellery will have stamp marks somewhere on the piece of jewellery.  If you find 750, 18ct, 18k on your jewellery then you have 18ct gold, which means that your jewellery is made up of 75% pure gold, and the remainder are alloys to give it strength.  The same story applies for 14ct gold, you will find 585, 14ct, 14k which is 58.5% gold content, 9ct gold is identified as 375, 9ct, 9k which is 37.5% gold content.  Regardless of stamp marks we always check our gold purchases to be sure.

We do offer advice concerning your jewellery, from what it might be worth... to...can it be repairedNaturally there are some pieces we just have to see but normally we can give you something to help you make a decision. You are most welcome to email or phone us.
